October Women's Health Events 2018

Our mission at Mahaska Health Partnership is to enhance the health and well-being of the communities we serve. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we will hold two events dedicated to celebrating women’s health this October.

No woman should go without a potentially life-saving mammogram or other breast cancer diagnostic test due to financial need. All proceeds from these events assist with breast cancer education and mammograms for women in our community with a financial need.

Breast Cancer Awareness WalkBreast Cancer Awareness Walk

On October 12, 2018, Mahaska Health continued the tradition of holding an awareness walk to raise funds for the free mammogram program. Together we raised awareness with the ultimate goal of supporting those fighting breast cancer, admiring those who have survived, and honoring those who have been taken too soon. Thank you to all who participated! We hope to see you again next year!

The commemorative shirts this year have been a hit! Due to popular demand, we will be re-opening registration for T-shirts for another week! For $25 you can be included in the next order of T-shirts!

Shirt Details: This year's shirts are a tri-blend, soft-spun, long-sleeve tee with the logo from this year's theme, "Tough as Nails". This cozy shirt can run slightly small, so please consider that when indicating your shirt size.

Women's Health NightWomen’s Health Night

Previously known as the Women’s Breast Health Night, the Women’s Health Night is an evening event for women of all ages and interests. The event will start with an education fair with booths covering a wide range of health topics from massage to surgery, to diabetes. A program will follow, including food, a string art craft activity led by the Knotty Nail, personal stories from guest speakers, and a doctor’s panel for guests to ask health questions.

This event combines the fun of a girls’ night out with the value of health education.
