Family Practice Physician Case Everett, MD, practices full-time at the MHP Medical Group, providing primary care to all ages and also delivering babies. Dr. Everett is originally from New Sharon and is passionate about serving his home community. Dr. Everett chose Family Practice with obstetrics because he knew there was a need for obstetrical providers in rural Iowa and wanted to provide an all-encompassing medical practice to his patients.
Family Practice and Obstetrics Physician Angela Godejohn, MD, loves helping to safely bring new life into the world while supporting the healthcare needs of women during different stages of change. She has served with the Navy all over the world but chose to settle in the midwest because she appreciates small town living and the relationships she gets to have with her patients.
For Dr. Edward Hirl, one of the most rewarding aspects of his careers is helping patients grow their families. Dr. Hirl enjoys doing well child exams, minor office surgery and acute diagnoses treatment.
Family Nurse Practitioner Tonya Johannes practices full-time in the MHP Medical Group. While she treats patients ages six months and older for all primary care needs, she has a special interest in helping those with diabetes and skin issues such as acne, aging skin and rosacea. Tonya enjoys learning as well as teaching, both future nurses and her patients.
Family Nurse Practitioner Raegan Johns understands the stress and health concerns of women and wants to support her patients through life's milestones. Raegan encourages her patients to talk because she learns a lot from listening! While well child visits might be the highlight of her day, she also strongly advocates for adolescents and their unique health questions.
Family Nurse Practitioner Tina Main provides primary care for patients of all ages. She has more than ten years experience as a Nurse Practitioner and has a passion for working with pediatric patients. Tina is very knowledgeable in treating celiac disease (an immune disorder where people cannot tolerate eating gluten) and offers her patients timely and thorough care.
Family Practice Physician Eric Miller, DO, practices full time in the MHP Medical Group. Growing up with a Pediatrician Mother and Farmer Father, Dr. Miller enjoys caring for families in a rural setting. He describes himself as more of a listener than a talker and enjoys hearing about a patient’s life experiences. In his free time, Dr. Miller enjoys the outdoors and building model trains.
Dr. Stephen Mineart has been practicing on the Mahaska Health Partnership Campus since 1987. Dr. Mineart is also an FAA Designated Senior Airman Medical Examiner.

Family Nurse Practitioner Kim Rutledge has more than 20 years experience in nursing. Personal growth and caring for others are two of Kim’s passion which she feels grateful to have channeled into achieving her advanced Nurse Practitioner degree. Kim chose to practice in the Medical Group: Walk-In because she knows the value and convenience a service like this provides patients.
Eva Sietsema is a Nurse Practioner in the Mahaska Health Walk-In Clinic. In her free time, Eva enjoys playing with her dogs and camping.
Family Nurse Practitioner Lisa Smith enjoys caring for patients of all ages in a rural setting at New Sharon Medical Center. She prides herself on being a good listener and always wants her patients to feel well-equipped to continue their care at home. As a mother, Lisa understands the value of reliable information from someone you trust. When patients need advanced care, Lisa works closely with specialists on the MHP campus in Oskaloosa.
Family Nurse Practitioner Jessica Tokle decided to go into medicine because she enjoys helping patients and learning from them. Originally from Grinnell, Jessica is excited to be close to home again. During her first year of college, she discovered her passion for nursing and decided to obtain her masters in nursing. Jessica received her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Clarkson College in 2018 and joined the Mahaska Health team shortly after.
Jessica Tokle has experience in a variety of healthcare settings and understands the importance of creating a smooth experience for all aspects of a patient’s care. To her, the most rewarding part of being a Family Nurse Practitioner is knowing that she can help patients get back to doing what they love.
When Jessica is not working with patients, she enjoys hiking outdoors with her dog and spending time with her family.
Dr. Mark Zacharjasz chose a career in family medicine due to his love of helping people and science. At Mahaska Health, Dr. Zacharjasz believes in offering his patients the best possible treatments and advice while upholding their values and autonomy. He accomplishes this by understanding each patient as a whole through the context of their life. Dr. Zacharjasz is passionate about helping patients and their families through difficult times and providing care for the entire family. His surgical and non-surgical specialty interests include biopsy of skin lesions and joint injections. Outside of the office, Dr. Zacharjasz enjoys spending time with his family, dogs and cats, hockey, oil painting (Bob Ross style), reading and watching his favorite TV shows.
