Wound and Ostomy Care

WOCfoot

Do you have painful wounds that won’t heal, loss of bladder or bowel control, or issues with your ostomy? Our Wound Ostomy Continence (WOC) nurse, Cindy Donohue, BSN, CWOCN is trained to handle these sensitive health issues with care, counseling, and compassion. She specializes in treating both incontinence, and chronic and difficult wounds in new or complex ostomy patients, using a multi-faceted approach of education, preventive care, counseling, and therapies. We like to think she’s the best WOC nurse in Mahaska County.

Contact our WOC nurse if you are experiencing the following:
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Chronic or non-healing wounds
  • Surgical wounds that fail to heal
  • Wounds of the legs and feet which can be caused by diabetes

Once the wound is assessed, your WOC nurse will define treatment options and coordinate care with your healthcare provider, as well as walk you through preventive measures to take in the future.
