Job Description:

Hours: FT; days. Must be available to work among an on-call rotation and be available to assist other on-call staff as needed to support emergency outages.

Education Requirements: Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field of study.

Job Requirements:  Minimum 5 years experience in IT infrastructure design, implementation, and operational support in a complex computing environment. Experience with MS Windows Server, MS Exchange, and Active Directory/GPO operations including hardening strategies and techniques. Firewall, VPN, SSL Remote Access, LAN/WLAN configuration and maintenance experience. Experience writing and using scripting tools for automated deployment of system changes and software applications. Proven experience organizing and/or managing projects and producing documentation for all staff levels including non-technical staff. Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, pull cables through ceilings as needed, and reach around obstacles as required to maintain IT infrastructure. Demonstrated excellence in critical thinking, working independently including decision-making, time management skills, and strong attention to detail.

List of Duties: Provides end user support of new and existing technology tools and processes along with helpdesk support and escalated issues as needed. Installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of workstation hardware, software and peripheral devices which include; business class laptops, desktops, thin clients, cellular phones, tablets, multi-function peripherals and VOIP systems. Performs server management within physical server and VMWare infrastructure that include file, print, Exchange email, domain controllers, application servers, database servers, SAN and execution of data backup strategies. Administers, maintains, and performs workstation and server image management. Administers and maintains user accounts, permissions, and access. Specify, build, and manage VMWare hosts and guests. Recommend, schedule and perform core computing and network improvements, upgrades and repairs. Maintains and examines infrastructure monitoring applications, which include responding to and resolving alerts within organizations published SLA’s. Performs and documents security risk assessments and analysis as required with new technology and existing compliance needs, and mitigates risks to discovered vulnerabilities. Documents processes and procedures related to operational tasks performed. Participates in the development of long-term strategic goals for IT infrastructure and applications in conjunction with end-users, IT co-workers and leadership.
