Erica Blomme, MD, Mahaska Health Hospitalist, is board-certified in Family Medicine and specializes in Internal Medicine. Dr. Erica Blomme received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine and completed her Residency at John Peter Smith Hospital, Fort Worth, Texas, caring for patients as Chief Resident and Acclaim Physician. Dr. Blomme joins Mahaska Health with expertise gained through her emergency room experience, inpatient medicine teaching, and international volunteer healthcare background.
Dr. Erica Blomme provides patient-focused internal medicine care by valuing each patient’s perspective and situation and by educating each patient on their unique medical situations and treatment plans so they can fully understand and take an active role in their treatment. Dr. Erica Blomme is committed to caring for each patient as if they were a family member or friend, with thoroughness and attention to detail.
Dr. Blomme recently moved to Oskaloosa, IA with her husband, Dr. Jay Blomme, who is part of the Family Medicine and Sports Medicine teams at Mahaska Health. Dr. Blomme enjoys walking her dogs, playing guitar and piano, running, and doing crossword puzzles with her husband.
